Any parent knows children ask a lot (A LOT!) of questions.
Of course this is an important way for them to learn about the world around them. I encourage my two boys to ask whatever they want to know. And they do.
One of the reasons I encourage questions is that I have made a career out of asking them. I mentioned this to my eldest son’s grade 2 teacher and she asked if I would be willing to speak with the class (and their buddies in grade 5/6) about how I interview people as a journalist.
I spoke briefly about the types of articles I write as a journalist and how I would interview someone, and then set them some questions to ask each other. Both classes erupted in excitement and I could see this was going to be fun!
