Following on from her popular audio product Surviving a Toddler, parenting expert Laura Kiln had just released an in-depth audio set called Children’s Difficult Behaviour Explained.
Developed with school-aged children’s behaviour in mind, this three-CD audio set includes real stories from parents and strategies they used to stamp out difficult behaviour before it became entrenched.
Children’s Difficult Behaviour Explained covers the core topics:
• Understanding what causes children to act the way they do
• How to get out of the house on time
• How to help children do homework without a screaming match
• Coping with mealtime madness
• Coping with meltdowns
• Getting around the supermarket
• Dealing with bedtime problems
• Dealing with everyday battles
• What is normal childhood behaviour?
As a mother of four and creator of STAMP OUT parenting centre, Laura knows the ups and downs of children only too well. After helping hundreds of families deal with children’s difficult behaviour Laura said she created her audio series as a means of reaching more families.
“The Stamp Out Parent’s Survival Group audio series started with my Surviving a Toddler CD and this next set takes our strategies a step further to school-aged children, who have their own set of difficult behaviours,” Laura explained.
“School-aged children are delightful and lots of fun, but there are days when this isn’t the case and parents might feel like ripping their own hair out. However, there are many strategies parents can use to control difficult behaviour while they still have hair left!”
“One of the great aspects of this audio set is that it includes stories from parents I have worked with, showing other parents they are not alone in dealing with these difficult behaviours,” she added.
Parents of children with ADHD can also purchase the set with an extra CD, called Understanding ADHD. This CD equips them with the vital knowledge they need to effectively parent a child with ADHD.
“The Understanding ADHD CD helps parents go from having a child who can’t sit still and has problems at school, to having a child who has a healthy self esteem and is popular. I’ve used these strategies myself, as my son has ADHD,” Laura explained.
Children’s Difficult Behaviour Explained includes three CDs (or four if purchasing the ADHD set), fridge magnets outlining the Stamp Out behavioural pyramid and printed quick reference sheets covering each level of the pyramid.
The audio package is priced at AU$47 (there is no additional charge for the ADHD set) and can be purchased at http://stampout.com.au/need-help/products/
