Connect2mums online community for mums (and dads) presents The Australasian Mumpreneurs Conference and 2011 Bio-Oil AusMumpreneur Awards in Sydney this week.
This supportive network shows parents who sustain a healthy balance between their work and family commitments online and has collected together an impressive line up of speakers to show attendees how to successfully achieve work/life balance at the conference at the Mercure Sydney over 26-27 August.
This fun and friendly conference is a must attend for all professional mums in business; a motivating weekend combining work and motherhood through business workshops, networking and guest speakers.
The weekend conference will also host the Bio-Oil AusMumpreneur Awards, where the brightest and most innovative mothers are recognised for achieving outstanding success in areas such as business, product development, services and innovation from businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
Co-owners of Connect2mums, Katy Garner and Peace Mitchell, are counting the days with anticipation for this calendar event of 2011.
“The conference is in its third successful year and grows in size and popularity each time. We always strive to promote successful business mothers and support them to gain more knowledge so that they can reach their full potential in work and life,” Katy said.
The business workshops cover a number of engaging and insightful topics including: marketing, branding, business, planning, finance, setting goals, work life balance, PR, social media, building your platform, manufacturing, mind set, price points and organisation.
The conference has a rally of guest speakers including: Julia Bickerstaff of Channel 7’s Kochie’s Business Builders and Author of the Business Bakery and Lara Solomon creator of Mocks and Social Rabbit and author of Brand New Day, a full list and description of speakers can be seen on the Connect2Mums website.
The Bio-Oil AusMumpreneur Awards have 14 distinct categories and the winners will be announced at the glamorous Gala Dinner ceremony at the Mercure Sydney on August 27.
Peace said she believed, “The awards are an opportunity to showcase how important each mumpreneur’s contribution is”.
Past winners of the AusMumpreneur Awards, Antonette Golikidis and Catherine Oehlman have enjoyed great benefits after winning and credit the experience with helping grow their businesses and confidence.
The awards could lead to increased media exposure, website traffic and business growth for the winner, as well as make them a sought-after speaker and expert.
The two-day conference is jam-packed with engaging, exciting and elite professional sessions where knowledge and expertise are shared, showing it is possible to combine motherhood with business successfully.
The Australasian Mumpreneurs Conference also includes the Mumpreneurs Panel and the Mumpreneurs Showcase Mini Expo.
