Ditch the Boss and Build a Business from Home

February 9, 2010 By Johanna Baker-Dowdell Leave a Comment

Women looking to combine building a business with their family are turning to party plan business Something Naughty to fulfil their entrepreneurial aspirations.

Something Naughty’s new owner Donna Inns took over the business in December and is lamenting having to turn down requests for parties because there are not enough party planners available. Party planners are currently being recruited in Sydney, Canberra and the Gold Coast.

New Something Naughty party planners receive commission on the sales they make at each party via their portable shop and catalogue orders, with some planners making enough money for family holidays, new cars and even upgrading to a new home.

“Our party planners say they love running their own business because they can work when it suits them and their families, but the best part is the fun they have running the parties,” Ms Inns explained.

“Something Naughty parties are a recipe for fun and laughter – for the hostesses, guests and the planners!”

Support is offered via the Something Naughty website with a forum dedicated to party planners, as well as regional team leaders and head office communication. Planners can start small as they get used to running the parties and then shoot for the stars.

“Many of our party planners are mums who don’t want to work full-time, but would like to contribute to the family income, or make some money to spend on themselves,” Ms Inns explained.

“We set new party planners up with their own shop to take to parties so they can make on-the-spot sales. It is a fun and well-supported way to get back into the workforce – and planners are their own bosses!”

A Something Naughty Party business can be set up for as little at $99. For more information about setting up a Something Naughty business visit the website to fill in the party planner enquiry form or contact Something Naughty directly.

More than an online store, the Something Naughty website www.somethingnaughty.com.au has a chat room, forum, party bookings, lots of interesting items to browse and buy and competitions.

Something Naughty also has a social media presence. Visit the Facebook fan page: http://www.facebook.com/snparties or follow on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/snparties
