Finally a Solution to Finding the Right Staff

November 11, 2009 By Johanna Baker-Dowdell Leave a Comment

One of the most important tasks a small business owner will ever face is recruitment. The process is often punctuated with questions about hiring the right people, how to mange them and whether or not the business is sticking to its legal obligations, but Erina staffing firm Footprint Recruitment has developed a solution.

Footprint Recruitment has just launched a series of three simple guides to take the guesswork out of small business recruitment and providing a framework for hiring staff, performance management and people-related policies and procedures. Instead of budgeting for the expense of a recruitment and HR expert, the guides make the entire recruitment process accessible for small business owners.

Drawing on her many years of experience in recruitment and human resources (HR), Footprint Recruitment director Kristy-Lee Johnston said the guides walked small businesses through each step of the recruitment process, including finding and hiring the right staff, managing their performance, creating policies and procedures and their liabilities as an employer.

“We are committed to working with Central Coast businesses to help them achieve the best possible results in finding and retaining top people for their organisation,” Ms Johnston explained.

“With recent changes to Industrial Relations legislation, including the introduction of the Fair Work Act, it is more important than ever that employers understand their legal obligations when dealing with potential and existing staff, and have appropriate policies and procedures in place to minimise any chance of litigation and ensure the rights and safety of their workers.

“Our self-directed guides make these processes cost effective and simple. Now small businesses can take control over their hiring and people management activities and put past overwhelming recruitment experiences behind them,” she said.

The following three Step by Step Guides are available now:

• Recruiting the Right People

• Retaining the Best People

• Core People Policies

Each guide includes advice and information on how to tackle all aspects of the recruitment process. A CD Rom with customisable PDF templates for each step is also included to help the business owner create their own documents.

“Footprint Recruitment is very excited to bring our guides to the market as we feel they give employers, particularly small businesses, much of the core information they need in one easy-to-read place. We believe it will help them to improve the outcomes of their hiring decisions and staff management procedures,” Ms Johnston added.

Footprint Recruitment’s Step by Step Guides are now available for $299 + GST per guide (includes one-hour consultation with a Footprint consultant, usually valued at $120 + GST)

or $799 + GST for full pack of 3 guides (includes two-hour consultation with a Footprint consultant). These prices are available until 31 December, 2009.
