Functional and Stylish Breastfeeding Bag Kicks Off Love Mum Launch

July 15, 2009 By Johanna Baker-Dowdell 1 Comment

The Breastfeeding BagSydney entrepreneur Jodie Quinlan is launching her new business, Love Mum, today, along with flagship product The Breastfeeding Bag.Frustrated with taking a pillow from home to comfortably feed her baby when she left the house, Jodie designed The Breastfeeding Bag (patent pending, RRP $99.95) to include everything a mum needed to feed her bub in one place.

“The Breastfeeding Bag is a functional breastfeeding pillow for mums on the go! Comfort for mothers and babies was at the top of my list of features, but the bag is also practical,” Jodie explained.

“I designed it to be a stylish bag with a built-in pillow. But I didn’t want it to be just a pillow, so the bag also has detachable straps, a pocket to keep your phone in and a burp pad/newborn change mat.

“But the bag’s useful life doesn’t end there. When their breastfeeding days are over, mothers can simply remove the pillow and use the bag on its own. Some of our tester mums have even used The Breastfeeding Bag as their children’s day care pillow and carry-all because it folds up easily and keeps everything together,” Jodie said.

Love Mum features clothing and accessories for mothers, babies and children and has come to fruition after several years of planning. A mother of four children, aged between two and seven years, Jodie started thinking about Love Mum when her youngest was a baby. She found many products for new mums, babies and children weren’t exactly what she needed, or were lacking features she wanted, so she set about creating them herself and launched Love Mum as the vehicle to sell her products.

The products sold via the Love Mum online store have been created and road tested by mothers for mothers and children, so they are both functional and stylish.

Jodie has also designed and created The Breastfeeding Cover-Up to give breastfeeding mums privacy when feeding in public. Love Mum features a wide variety of products, including new designer ranges from brands such as Bubba Moe, Noo Designs, Strawberry Jam Designs, My Baby Bump Maternity, Little Diva, Milk Pond, Lila & May, Cupid Infant Footwear and Cushie Tushies.

    What a fantastic idea~!
It’s not always possible to find a comfortable chair or position when b/feeding– especially at picnics etc. Well done!
