This new smartphone and tablet marketplace quickly caught the attention of leading Australian etailers Mobileciti and Unique Mobiles, with Phonesales establishing a strategic partnership with both that ensures an expansive selection of high quality mobile products.
Phonesales’ unique business model offers Australia’s 16 million smartphone and 8 million tablet users a classifieds website focused on helping them sell their device and upgrade to the latest model. Many consumers have hundreds if not thousands of dollars sitting in their drawers and can make money fast by selling their spare mobile phone or tablet. Consumers can now also replace their lost or damaged device simply and conveniently.
Australia has one of the world’s highest rates of smartphone and tablet use, ranking in the top 10 countries in the world for tablet ownership and the top 15 for smartphone ownership, according to Kantar subsidiary TNS.
Phonesales founder Robyn Wulfse said contract periods and mobile device replacement cycles were contracting from the standard two years to just 12 months, creating a deeper market for high quality digital goods to satisfy demand for value buying in Australia.
“Until now, there was no central marketplace dedicated to connecting buyers and sellers wanting to transact cleanly, simply and quickly in these devices we value so highly. Phonesales offers that to Australian consumers across the demographic spectrum,” says Robyn.
“With such high demand, it makes sense to offer one central marketplace for Australians to shop around for and/or sell their mobile devices, allowing buyers to easily find and compare products before purchasing,” Robyn adds.
Phonesales is offering free listings for consumers and traders for a limited time.
