Tasman Battleground the Setting for Watch Central Launch in New Zealand

August 12, 2013 By Johanna Baker-Dowdell Leave a Comment

The historic clash between New Zealand and Australia will be played out on the basketball court this week, and it is this battleground that provides the perfect setting for Watch Central’s New Zealand launch.

Tall Ferns captain and Watch Central ambassador Natalie Taylor will take time out of her duties for the night to show how she keeps to time with a Tendence timepiece from Watch Central for the launch.

Media is invited to the launch at North Shore Events Centre, Auckland. Natalie Taylor will be playing in the Tall Ferns vs Opals game at 5pm, which is followed by the Tall Blacks vs Boomers match at 7.30pm.

Watch Central exclusively stocks the larger than life watch brand Tendence. Customers can choose from more than 130 Tendence styles priced from $160 upwards.

Tendence watches have become known as much for classic styles that work in the corporate world, as the brand’s bright contemporary styles. Either option makes a bold statement about the wearer – as evidenced by Natalie Taylor at a recent photo shoot.

Watch Central founder Danielle Walton said the basketball games between New Zealand and Australia were the ideal launchpad for Watch Central.

“Tendence watches embody where high energy and contemporary style meet – in the same way Natalie Taylor does on and off the basketball court.

“Watch Central’s timepieces are very popular with sportspeople like Natalie, v8 ute racer Kris Walton and water sports enthusiast Chris Gilmour,” Danielle said.

Tendence fans in New Zealand and Australia now have quick and easy access to the watches they want, rather than waiting for purchases sent from the other side of the world. Watch Central is also releasing limited edition watch styles and a new range of accessories and jewellery.

Watch Central also works with brand ambassadors reality TV star Jade Louise and entertainer Em Rusciano to spread the word further.

The online store has also built a strong following on Facebook and Instagram with its savvy 20-50 years target market.
