The ‘good ship’ Blogger will set sail in March 2014, with some of Australia’s top blogging mums and dads aboard for the fourth annual Digital Parents Conference.

In a departure from the previous years’ programs, the 2014 conference will be held on board the Carnival Spirit cruise ship on March 21-24.

The 2014 theme is ‘Look Good, Be Good, Feel Good’, with sessions on polishing the look and feel of your blog, creating great content and fostering an engaged community – all tailored with the aim of creating shared experiences.

Digital Parents founder Brenda Gaddi said the conference days would be packed with interactive workshops, keynote speakers, one-on-one sessions with experts and plenty of networking opportunities.

“We want to encourage bloggers to learn, network and connect, which will happen in the group sessions. However, sometimes you need to delve a bit deeper so we’ve programed some more intensive sessions where bloggers get to pick the experts’ brains,” Brenda said.

“All the formal sessions wrap up mid afternoon to give bloggers a chance to explore and take advantage of the amazing facilities on board Carnival Spirit and enjoy some down time with their online friends, but in real life!” she said.

Digital Parents Conference is an initiative of Digital Parents, Australia’s largest online community for blogging parents.

Tickets for the all-inclusive Digital Parents Conference start from $585.

Several of the country’s top bloggers will be speaking at the Digital Parents Conference 2013 at Curzon Hall, Sydney on the 20th and 21st of March.

Problogger Darren Rowse, authors and bloggers Kerri Sackville, Karen Andrews, Allison Tait and Nicole Avery, and blogging mentor Annabel Candy, to name a few, will be talking about their respected expertise in the industry.

Digital Parents Conference, an initiative of Australia’s largest online community for blogging parents, is aimed at empowering bloggers with information and tools to succeed in their blogs. This is the first time ever that Australia will be hosting a two-day expo and conference for the blogging community.

Digital Parents founder Brenda Gaddi said that although the event is hosted by Digital Parents, it is open for all bloggers. “The common misconception is that we only cater for blogging mums and dads. In fact, if you look at the program on our website, it covers all aspects of blogging that other niche bloggers will be able to learn from.”

Brenda also said the conference is the best opportunity for bloggers to get the most out of their money. The writing session alone, hosted by Valerie Khoo from Sydney Writer’s Centre, would normally cost around $1000 if it wasn’t incorporated in the conference.

“Every blogger will learn new tips and tricks, plus experience new ways to promote their blogs and have fun with their supportive online community,” she said.

The conference will also cover photography sessions, tips on creating professional looking vlogs, and more importantly, the legal side of blogging.

Early Bird Passes to the conference are already sold out. Full Blogger Passes are now available for $350 and Industry Passes are available for $500.

Negotiations are also underway for industry leaders to sponsor the 2013 event, with details to follow soon. The Digital Parents Conference offers a unique opportunity for brands to create meaningful connections with Australia’s blogging community. “Our sponsors are industry leaders who respect and value the parent blogging space.”

Limited sponsorship packages are available and they are tailored to meet each brand’s blogger outreach and social marketing objectives. Email Digital Parents at sponsorship@digitalparentsconference.com.au to find out more.

Planning is well underway for the 2012 Digital Parents Conference in Melbourne on March 30, 2012, with Kleenex Mums joining again as the platinum sponsor.

Early bird tickets to the conference sold out in record time, and sales are continuing steadily more than five months out from the event.

Billed as an event for bloggers, by bloggers, the Digital Parents Conference gives Australia’s ‘mum bloggers’ (plus their dad counterparts) and those who tell their personal stories through posts, the chance to leave their online personas behind and network, learn and share.
